Stony Creek Bead Mixer

Exchange. Create. Mingle.

Problem Beads. We all have them – those beads that we LOVED in the store. The ones we HAD to have. The ones that we brought home and have NO IDEA what to do with them. Yep, those Problem Beads. We have a challenge for you and your Problem Beads in Stony Creek Bead’s first Bead Mixer.

Here’s the breakdown:

·Pack up those Problem Beads and enough coordinating, accent beads to total a retail value of at least$25.
o Not sure of the value? Ask us and we will be happy to help you estimate it.
o Please, use the golden rule here- don’t throw a bunch of junk-beads into the bag- think of what you would like to receive as a gift.

·DROP OFF your beads and registration form (see your inbox, on Facebook, or sales person in store) at Stony Creek Bead between February 22-28, 2013, so that the staff here can repack them in generic looking bags (no peeking!) and get them ready for their new homes.

·You can then PICK UP your new package of beads between2 and 4 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2013. We can brainstorm, do sketches, and generally just PLAY with your new beads to get your design started.
o Bead packs are given out on a first-come-first-select basis, so come ASAP.
o If you are unable to come at this time, it is okay to pick up your new beads later

·Now, go and CREATE! There are no limits here except to have fun and to use your new beads (you can always add more to your design from your own stash).

·ATTEND the Mixer at Stony Creek Bead onSaturday, March 30th from 3 to 5 pm. MINGLE, meet other beaders, show off your creation, and see what others did with those Problem Beads! We are going to be giving away some gift cards, prize packs, etc for those of you who participate and attend, so mark your calendars now!

The January-April Class List Is Now Ready!

At Stony Creek Bead, we are big believers in learning the basics, and learning them well.  After all - if you are struggling with the basics, it is hard to play and be creative.  For that reason, we are offering the Basic Stringing and Wrapped Loop techniques at least once a month.

As you read the class descriptions, please take note of any prerequisites that may be listed.  If none are listed, then assume you can join in no matter what your skill level is.  If you are unsure of a class and the techniques used, please ask and we can go over what is involved.  We want to make sure that you have a fun and successful class!

You Are Running Out Of Time

But, do not worry-- we have a lot of these holiday earrings made up and ready to go.  Yes, you can say that you made them (we won't tell).

All of these (and more) are only $8.50 per pair.

Something to Remember Her By

Many of you have asked, and yes, we still have some of Lil’s finished bracelets and earrings for sale.

We will have them available until the end of the month and then we need to send them back to her husband.

Second Class Just Added

We just added a second session for the White Glacier Earrings! Both classes will be held on Saturday, December 8th. There are spots open in both sessions, so call to sign up for either the 10:30 am class or the 2 pm class. 734.544.0904.

While meeting with Liz about this second class, she suggested that we show you some other option of beads you can use in her design. Here are just a few.

Something to think about—pictured is an earring, but why not make this into a pendant? Hmmm… the possibilities!
