Basic Stringing
Tuesday June 6th  6:00 to 8:00pm   $25
Instructor: Kim West
Experience Level: Beginner
Learn to string jewelry and attach a clasp to make sure it is securely fastened.  This is essential for every jewelry maker.

Ice Princess
Saturday June 10th  10:30am to 12:30pm   $25
Instructor: Cathy Andrews
Experience Level: Determined Beginner/Intermediate (previous seed bead experience is required
Cathy has done it again…  Created another piece that is fit for royalty.  You will learn to make a beaded bead that can be made as is or modified to create a tassel hanging from the bottom.  The bead has so much sparkle!!

Harlequin Band

Did you buy lots of Fire Polish at the trunk show and you aren’t sure what to do with them?  Here is a great project!!  Make a wide cuff that will make a statement. This pattern was designed by Deborah Roberti and is being used with her permission.

The focus of this class is to learn the wrapped loop technique which is essential to have for every jewelry-maker.

Pretty in Pink

Stony Creek Bead would like to welcome CJ Bauschka to the teaching team!!  CJ is a local bead weaver who has been published several times in Bead and Button magazine.  Learn to make this fun pendant with accompanying chain using DiamonDuos!

Rings of Saturn
Tuesday June 20th  6:00 to 8:00pm  FREE

Experience Level: Beginner

Use a mixture of components and textures to create a fun necklace.  Even though this class is free, please sign up so we are sure to have enough room.

Scalloped Edge Woven Bracelet
Thursday June 22nd  6:00 to 8:00pm   $25
Instructor: Angela Peters
Experience Level: Advanced (Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in wire weaving)

This class is the first in a series of advanced wire weaving classes offered here at Stony Creek Bead! Students will learn from Lisa Barth’s course book “Timeless Wire Weaving,” and the class instructor, to create beautiful, professional-grade, wire woven jewelry.  The purchase of the book is required for class and it is being taught with Lisa Barth’s permission.

Introduction to Kumihimo
Saturday June 24th  1 to 4pm  $40
Instructor: Kathy Murdoch
Experience Level: Beginner

Back by popular demand!!!  Have you been curious about Kumihimo but you weren’t sure where to begin? This class is for you!! This class will walk you through how to get started with the Japanese Braiding technique. 

Leather Wrap Bracelet

Learn to make this trendy wrap bracelet by weaving beads in between leather.

   Attendance Policies
The following policies are in place to insure an enjoyable learning environment for you as a student, and to express respect for the teacher and your fellow students.
  • Do Not Wear Perfume (or strongly perfumed lotions, etc.) the day of class.  Several of the teachers and students have allergies, asthma, or sensitivities to perfume.  Please be considerate in this matter.
  • Prices listed are for the teacher fee only.  Materials are extra.  A tool kit (containing pliers, cutters, scissors, etc.) is available for your use during class.  Exception: Beading needles for thread-work classes.
  • Payment in full is required at the time you sign up for a class.  We accept phone registrations with a credit card.
  • You must pre-register so we may prepare properly.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any class where the minimum number of students is not met.
  • For private lessons, we reserve the right to enroll other students for the same lesson at the same time.
  • No refund will be given if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to class.
  • Only the students signed up for class may attend.  Family or friends cannot “hang out” in the classroom.
  • Students must be at least 13 years old.
  • Please arrive 15-20 minutes before class starts.  Due to time limitations, teachers will not be able to repeat instructions if you are late.
  • Cell phones  must be set to “courtesy mode.”  Please step outside the classroom to answer the call or have the conversation.  No exceptions.
  • If you normally wear glasses to read, bead, or do other crafts, please bring them to class.
