Highlights from the Tucson buying trip...

Crystals- Lots and lots of crystals in a variety of shapes, colors & finishes. It is a toss-up on which style is our favorite - either the ones that have designs in the glass (stripes, dots, or animal prints,) or maybe the necklace design that comes on wire, so all you need to do is add a clasp.

Pearls- You asked for bigger pearls and more colors. We got them!

Seed Beads- 20 new colors are on the wall including several in the Apollo and Picasso lines. A few of these are limited editions, so make sure you buy enough to complete your project.

Green Girl Charms & Beads- Those of you who are familiar with these pewter charms know how fun and whimsical the designs are. If you are not familiar with them, check out the display in the front window to see what all the talk is about.

Czech Glass- We marked the new strands with yellow tags to make it easier to find them on the wall. A small problem - there are so many new styles that it is hard to concentrate! Many people are coming in several days in a row just to absorb it all.

Focal Pieces- Our table is packed full with new focal pieces, including ready-made pendants, stones, shells, & decoupage beads.

Beading Across America- This book features the works of many well-known artists including our very own Liz Thompson. Look for Liz's project (and a mention of Stony Creek bead) on page 53. See the sidebar for Liz's book signing information.

Peyote Stitch - Basic Techniques, Advanced Results. Beautiful projects using flat, circular, and tubular Peyote. This is a great companion to the Peyote Beaded Bead Book.

Endless Sparkle - Many of these projects use a lot of bicone crystals to make great designs.
